Job Description: Director of LOLA New York Market the current roster of LOLA photographers to NY-based fashion, beauty, editorial and advertising clients. Longer term goals include seeking out new fashion and beauty focused photographers, and building LOLA as sought after agency/roster in NYC. Identify potential clients, develop and maintain client relations. Research and organize meetings with potential clients, develop marketing strategies for the agency as well as individual artists. Assist in coordination of bi-yearly agency promos/mailers. Develop a roster of NY-based creative artists, focusing on hair and make-up artists, wardrobe and props stylists, set designers, and art directors. Supervise each booking from inception through all necessary stages of production to submitting a final invoice to client and for processing by LOLA’s accounting department. Negotiate budgets, contracts and licenses, coordinating deposits. Manage artist calendars. Manage day-to-day operations of the LOLA NY branch. Manage artists’ portfolios, updating them regularly, encourage and guide photographer’s portfolio of work as needed per the NY market. Competitive salary + commission. This is an entry-level role allowing for growth and exposure in variety of creative areas including photography and video production and artist management. STUDIO MANAGER Responsibilities: STUDIO • Manage studio schedule, invoicing clients • Paint the cyc, paint walls, sweep floors, clean up after shoots. • Respond to client and vendor emails and phone calls • Organize and inventory equipment, straighten up studio, ordering supplies, prep restroom, empty trash, coordinate with cleaning service and delivery from vendors • Schedule and coordinate equipment rental, pickup, and drop off. • Marketing – newsletters, postcards, mailers, events, social media, etc… PRODUCTION • Assist on estimates and creative briefs • Book crew • Cast talent • Manage equipment rentals • Liaison between photographer and retouchers and/or graphic designers • Organize billing and crew payment • Client outreach and marketing Ideal candidate has… • Degree in art and/or communications. • Adobe Creative Suite proficient, InDesign a MUST! • Experience with sales and marketing. • Ability to create and learn estimates and invoices • Works well on a team, understands the power of ‘we’. • Social media marketing • Someone who is comfortable wearing number of hats and thinking outside the box.
